Planning a private event near Cincinnati? Molly Malone’s Irish Pub in Covington, Kentucky offers two beautifully restored private event floors in a landmark 1888 historic building — making it one of the most unique and accessible private event venues in the greater Cincinnati area. Whether you’re hosting a birthday party, rehearsal dinner, corporate event, retirement celebration, or wake, our second-floor ‘The Pub’ accommodates up to 64 guests for seated dinner (100 cocktail style), complete with its own bar, pool table, darts, and five TVs. Our third-floor ‘The Ballroom’ seats up to 80 for dinner (125 cocktail style) with a 10-foot projection screen. Both floors have elevator wheelchair access and private restrooms. No room hire fee — just a $500 food minimum and a $100 refundable deposit. Just 5 minutes from downtown Cincinnati across the Roebling Bridge.

Our warm and welcoming environment creates a casual atmosphere for your gathering, while our friendly attentive staff serves up great food, drink and Irish hospitality for dinner, lunch or brunch.

Our 2nd floor, “The Pub” can accommodate parties of 64 for seated dinner and up to 100 for cocktail style events. Pool-table, darts, your own Irish Pub for the night.

Our 3rd floor “The Ballroom” can accommodate parties of 80 seated and up to 125 for a cocktail style event. Tables can be re-arranged to facilitate your event.

FAQ

Is there a room fee?

There is no room fee for one of our private floors, we ask that you spend $500 on food. $100 deposit will reserve the space for you, this will get taken off your bill on the night.

Can I use both private event spaces for one event?

Having an event spaced over two floors precludes us from hosting another event on one or another floor, there is a $1000 charge to have an event spaced over both private floors.

How do I put a hold / confirm a date?

Our event coordinator can put a temporary hold on a date for a week if requested while we wait for your deposit, the room will remain available to others until we recieve a email request to let us know you are interested.

How do I pay my deposit?

The deposit can be paid via PayPal on our website party page, or you can also drop off the $100 deposit, cash or check at the bar or in the mail, please note the date of your event on your deposit envelope. The $100 deposit is refundable if 3 weeks email notice is given.

Can we order off your regular menu?

How are drinks paid for at the bar, is there a price list?

Your bar options are up to you, you can do an open bar if you want to purchase all your guests drinks, cash bar if the guests buy their own, or a combination of both, open bar for a certain dollar amount or period of  time and then cash bar.

How long do we have the space for?

Your reservation is for up to four hours, if your guests are still there enjoying themselves, we can let it go later.

Can we play our own music / playlist?

You can connect your own device to play music via bluetooth, house music is also available.

Can we do a slide show?

We  have a projector on our 3^rd floor and TVs on our 2^nd floor for slide shows or presentations, connected via HDMI. (cord available)

What is your policy on decorations?

You are welcome to bring decorations. Mollys does not permit items to be stuck to our painted walls or the use of glitter, confetti, or any other decor that might result in extensive clean.

Can we bring outside food or drinks to our event?

With the exception of a cake or dessert, no outside food or alcoholic beverages may be brought into the building.

Are there any age restrictions?

Guests under the drinking age (21) are welcome if accompanied by parent or guardian during the event.

How /when  do I pay for the event?

Payment is due at the end of the event. We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express only. Gift cards are not acceptable on our private floors.

Music

Molly’s provides ambient background music to suit your taste. You can also play your own play your own,  have a band, karaoke or DJ.

We will only be too happy to recommend both.

Room Policy.

Tax & Gratuities

All food and beverage prices are subject to 6% sales tax and 20% gratuity.

Room Deposit.

A $100 deposit holds your date and will come off your bill at the end of the night, you can mail a check to Molly Malone’s or pay through * Paypal by clicking below.

*A $4.10 fee will be added to cover PayPal processing.

21 day notice of cancellation is required for deposit refund.
